The Talent Acquisition Specialist is centralized at ShipMonk headquarters. This role creates strong talent pipelines for our company’s current and future hiring needs at all of our facilities from general warehouse employees to executive-level management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with managers to identify staffing needs
  • Determine selection criteria
  • Source potential candidates through online channels
  • Executive search/headhunting & active opportunity sourcing across multiple social media networks (e.g., LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.)
  • Design and manage the recruitment and selection process (resume screening, screen calls, interviews, etc.)
  • Reviews employment applications and background check reports
  • Coordinating with hiring managers to define necessary requirements for open roles
  • Design job descriptions/interview questions that reflect role requirements
  • Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events
  • Assist with forecasting quarterly and annual hiring needs by department
  • Foster long-term relationships with past applicants and potential candidates
  • Administer and submit hiring paperwork for new employees
  • Create reports on key talent acquisition metrics
  • Communicate regularly with the HR department to get a clear view of the company’s hiring needs and organizational goals
  • Suggest new ideas for improving talent acquisition activities
  • Sending recruiting emails to passive candidates and following up (when necessary)
  • Browsing resume databases and portfolio sites

Requirements

  • BSc in Human Resource Management or relevant field (preferred)
  • HR Technology experience
  • Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist or similar role
  • Familiarity with social media, resume databases and professional networks
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A keen understanding of the differences between various roles within organizations
